Although many things have changed recently, one thing has stayed the same: our commitment to the safety of our patients and staff. As ME Plastic Surgery reopens to the public, we’re implementing extensive protocols to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Our approach closely follows the latest recommendations from the New York State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization.

Our COVID-19 Precautions

ME Plastic Surgery is proud to be a place where our community and staff can feel comfortable and cared for. We are following a carefully designed plan to safeguard the health of everyone who receives or provides face-to-face care. Our safety protocols include the following:

• Providing ample supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as masks and gloves, for our staff
• Enforcing daily wellness checks for all staff
• Spacing out appointment times to minimize contact and exposure
• Conducting patient risk screening upon arrival

Patients with a procedure scheduled must have a COVID-19 PCR test performed less than 72 hours in advance and receive a negative result. Self-quarantine is required after the test. This policy exceeds the requirements set by the New York State Department of Health.

On any days when multiple procedures are scheduled, the first patient will be discharged from the recovery bay before the next patient is admitted to allow for complete turnover of the pre-op and post-op areas.

What You Can Do to Help

You can assist us in maintaining a safe environment by:

• Wearing a mask or other face covering except when instructed by Dr. Everett or a staff member that it is safe to remove
• Following social distancing guidelines whenever possible
• Not bringing guests to appointments unless absolutely necessary
• Being transparent in your answers during the patient risk screening
• Rescheduling your appointment if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, believe you may have recently been exposed or have tested positive

Schedule an in-person appointment. This is a great way to gather preliminary information about your treatment options while getting the opportunity to have a casual discussion directly with your surgeon and see how well you vibe. We welcome both new and existing patients to schedule appointments.
